Which way is up?
They tell us to aim high to look at the stars
even when our feet are rooted to the ground
but the sky is for birds and clouds and dreaming things
tree branches catch their wisps and they fall leaves and acorns
and I am content to dig this the earth watch them grow.
I can’t help but look up and dream. 😀
I wouldn’t have expected you to say anything else 🙂 The world needs dreamers as well as those who poke about among the dead leaves.
I’m only an occasional poker, but always happy to look. 😀
The spirit of curiosity 🙂
Just perfect.
🙂
I can’t decide between them. But of course I’m in a place without either much earth or sky. I look around. (K)
I feel as though I have a bit too much of both and would quite appreciate the safety of a bit of concrete.
It’s true, I have escapes in the parks. You can lose sight of civilization without too much trouble, but it’s nearby in case you need to get back.
We’re gregarious creatures really. It’s hard for us to live alone. To have green spaces to escape to is vital, but we rely on human company too.
We do. Even if they’re masked and social distanced.
We can’t live without toilet paper either…
It seems not.
