The Ekphrastic Review’s prompt this last fortnight was one that appealed to me. Not so much the painting, but what it suggested, which is the aim of ekphrasis after all.
One of my poems was selected, and it won’t come as a big surprise to learn that Kerfe also has a poem featured. You can read them both here.
I like both your and Kerfe’s very much. I haven’t checked Ekphrastic recently. I understand what you mean about the idea of the painting more than the painting itself.
Thank you. The gossamer wing ‘sprite’ thing is a bit cheesy for my taste 🙂
😀
A great one also from you, Jane! I was beaten by all the thoughts, now swirling in my brain. 😉 Michael
Thank you!
That’s what fairies do to you 🙂
Great! Thank you for sharing, Jane! Have a beautiful weekend! Michael
You too Michael!
Thank you, Jane!
Congrats Jane. You are in good company🙂.
Pat
Thank you, Pat 🙂
Thanks for the mention Jane. I only just thought to look for it. I think we both had the same sense of it. Enchantment has many sides. (K)
Yes, not so much pixie as otherworldly.
We like to pretend things are benevolent when they are much more complicated than that.
Few things (outside scripture) are truly benevolent.
Your kind of story. So well-penned.
Thanks. Right up my alley.
