Always: a valediction

Beneath and above
there is nothing bitter here
no bilious light no fog
no smell of forgotten.

There is together
and sea spray in the wind
the blue never blown away.

No day cries at its ending
no dreams die
the moon will always whisper
in the language of the heart’s blood

sky and water confounded
in the endless glitter-gleam
of beauty’s eye.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. This is so beautiful! Definitely a valediction. And the Redon is perfect.
I love no smell of forgotten. I was trying to find a way to use smell in mine, We must have been writing/posting at the same time. I have blown away and blue in a line and language and whispers. . .

    1. I’m glad you like it. It’s definitely influenced by Sue Vincent. I think she has a link with the Oracle. I read her post this morning and it spilled over into the Oracle’s message.

    1. It’s strange but the comment I left on Sue’s blog this morning came out as a poem, the first poem I wrote today. Sue is an inspiration anyway; the strange part was that it shares so much with your poem and Merril’s. The message from the magnets just added to it.
