More rain

Morning comes with
more rain,
drops fine as mist
falling,
a cloud grey as feathers,
like dusk
that never deepens to night,
with no
basking in birdsong
sungold,
the honey-tasting beams that linger
to light
blue fields where horses run in
our dreams.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. Yes.
Haven’t written consistently for sometime now. Mood is dark.
Wrote one just now while having breakfast. Dark.
        Posting now.

  1. I like the way you did this–and blue horses! 😀
Sorry about all your rain. We seem to be taking a little break from rain–we’ve had several beautiful days.

    1. It’s cool and very wet. The ditches are full again and running like little rivers. The toads love it though. It’s got to be a thing when was walk out in the evening, taking the toads from the middle of the lane and putting them at the side. You never know, there might be a car go by in the night.
