  1. Congratulations. So evocative and poignant, too. It makes me think of what you wrote about my last poem about immigrants making food of their homeland. I like the line about carrying roots in their baggage.
    (Gmail has decided to randomly put some WP posts in the promotions tab, but it’s not consistent. That’s where this one of yours was.)

    1. Thank you! Yes, I thought of that whole emmigrant experience when I read your poem.
      I don’t seem to have a promotions tab in my gmail. No ads, no frills. I’m not complaining πŸ™‚ How funny to find me somewhere I didn’t even know existed.

      1. Hahaha. You’re welcome. My gmail is configured–Primary, Social, and Promotions. I didn’t set it up, and while the true business things usually go to promotions, the rest seems arbitrary.

      2. I see! Mine has the standard mailbox or social media that seems to be only my WP ‘post changed’ notifications. I’ve never understood what that means since I rarely change a post.
