Of all

A second quadrille for dverse. (It was husband’s birthday yesterday).

Of all

Of all the times, the cities wide,
with all the places you could hide,
I found you, met your eyes that night.

Of all the ones who might have been,
the rivers crossed, the mountains seen,
you wear the crown, my life, my light.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Awwww! ❤️ Happy Birthday to your husband!
When we get that transporter working, and we get together (maybe with Damien), I’ll have to hear more about how you met. 😀

  2. I really love this one, JD; and shared it with My Beloved Sandra, for whom (as I’m sure you’ve noted) I have written much love poetry. He’s a lucky man, your hub.

      1. He has always worked from home, and I worked from home after the third baby, so we’ve spent an awful lot of time in one another’s company. It’s taught us both a lot.

      2. I can well imagine. Mick had started working from home in the last ten years or so. And I started to for the last 2-3 years of that. We always got along well and the house is far too quiet without him. Still, 7 years later.

    1. I think you’re right! I have never forgotten that first look. My grandmother told me she first saw my granda across a dance floor and decided before they’d even spoken that he was the one she wanted.
