Another night

Another night

Another falling of the light
moon cradled on the treetops
in the scratchy embrace of bare twigs
only sounds the endless babble of the stream
and far away an owl singing lullabies.

      1. We’ve had nothing but clouds so no chance to see the moon…I’ll see if mine looks like it’s lying down when it next appears.
