What else?

Another glorious morning, sunny and warm, and a new triolet for the dverse prompt.

What else?

What else is there to love but all this space,
this green and blue stream-ripple in the breeze,
that dances winter leaf veils of rust lace?
What else is there to love, but all? This space
of sculpted buds of blossoming spring’s face
takes wing, with feathered gold among the trees.
What else is there to love but all this space,
this green and blue stream-ripple in the breeze?

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. Oh that sounds wonderful. It’s getting warm here–only 30 F now, but it will be in the 50s later, and near 60 on Saturday. Then snow showers Sunday morning. 😊

      2. We’re out of the cold weather front and it’s going to stay mild, around top 60s in the daytime. Gets cold at night still when it’s clear. No snow though, thank goodness!

      3. I think it can be because of the weather–but both kids, husband, and his mother have birthdays in February, so in the past it was often a very busy month for us–with lots of treats!

  1. I loved the three different ways you applied this line: “What else is there to love but all this space”. The variety was most effective in carrying the flow of the piece — which was beautifully written Jane! I thoroughly enjoyed this my friend
