I used the old magnets by mistake and got this from the first set of words. Not sure about it. I’ll try and consult the new set later today. And I got ‘sausage’ again. That’s never a good sign.

This day could be brilliant
as a diamond on a ring finger
languid as satin gowns
musk-heavy as roses

or it could be rain-shadow
the sour smell of rottenness
black as reefs in heavy seas.

You twist the bauble on your finger
as the first drops fall.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. I got an mixed messages too…and interestingly, they reminded me of images to illustrate it that contained hands with rings. No sausages though. (K)

  2. I’ve been doing some chores, so just getting to these. It is a mixed, sort of odd message. And sausages again? That’s so weird. I must block that word out! But I think you might be right about the limericks. ๐Ÿ˜
I see you’ve written another, so I’ll take a look.

      1. I don’t ever see sausage. ๐Ÿ™‚
Oh, I’ve got it. Isn’t bangers a synonym? And bangers could be the hunters (as in the sound bang). They probably love sausage, too.
