Getting my haiku in early this week. For the early bird entries, go to Ronovan’s blog.
Solace in these days
summer fades, bright leaves fallen
robin’s fiery song.
Brighten the day, bird
full-throated song, honey-sweet,
pour upon the wind.
In dark days to come
robin calls up the bright sun
rippling autumn cheer.
I like Robin,s so much jane!
I know you’re a fan too 🙂
These are great!
Thank you! Anyone who follows my blog is going to be heartily sick of robins before the winter’s over 🙂
Oh I love Robins! We have a lil one who seems to come regularly to our garden!
I believe they’re territorial birds so it’s likely the same one. What I’ve always wanted to know is why we only seem to see them when the weather turns cold.
A different type of Robin that I am use to. Very nice
European robins are icons over here. Winter wouldn’t be the same without them 🙂
Fantastic! 😀
Thank you, Eloise 🙂
Another lovely one, Jane!
It’s the robin time of year again 🙂
So cute photo and haiku, the birds need to get ready for the winter, I miss their songs during the cold months.
In winter over here, the robin takes over from the blackbird as the bird whose song fills the gardens. I don’t know what they do all summer…
Sweet little bird! The haiku are great. The second one’s my favorite. “Pour upon the wind” Love that! 😀
Robins are lovely, cheery birds. Thank you!
