Last night’s storm has subsided into dreary, unbroken rain, but the oracle has produced some uplifting verses this morning with very little prompting. As usual, one from each of four word sets.
You ask: are the shadows lifting?
Does light never shine on this black rock?
Storm screams still.
Will we see the roses blow,
petals shot with pink and honey
before sleep comes?
My heart beats for you,
from here to eternity,
sailing slow
on a perfumed sea—
red sky smiles,
peace in its kiss,
salt secrets in its voice.
Blue is best,
says the sky,
star song singing,
flowers dance,
sweet and strong.
Will you let in their light?
Beneath a dusky sun,
we walk in the thick grass
of the river path,
listen to secret rustlings
as wild roses bloom
between bee and rain.
The Oracle is in a good mood today!
Isn’t she? Popped them out one after the other, no fuss.
I don’t think I’ll get to visit her today, but you never know. 😉
