For Day 14 of Paul Brookes’ challenge, I have used this startling photo by MJ Saucer and Terry Chipp’s High moon.
Mars
If the flames rise high enough,
the oceans full of coral bones
and starved tatters of walrus skin
roll high enough,
tempests and hurricanes blow hard enough,
the piles of dead in quicklime pits
belch corruption strong enough,
will the inferno
tossed from our flailing arms
burn up the moon?
lovely poem
Thank you!

Reblogged this on The Wombwell Rainbow.
Thank you, Paul 🙂
Wow to the picture and wonderful poem
Thank you! It’s dramatic, isn’t it?
Very beautiful indeed…
I hope I never see it.
Indeed…❤
It’s possible.
That’s what I thought too.
Wow–startling photo and dramatic poem!
Thanks! Wild fire is terrifying.
It is!
These images are full of dark places, as your words reflect. (K)
So much in the world is dark, and it’s a darkness we have created.
There seems to be very little difference in the behavior of God or the Devil, except that sometimes you can strike a bargain with the Devil.
Very good point.
