Big Abba fan and so pleased that their come-back songs are so good;
Outside the owls are crooning
and the night is flowing
through the silent trees.
Inside the cats are sleeping
and the night is growing
with the southern breeze.
And I am watching stars grow
in the dusky dark,
listening to owls call
and the foxes bark.
Perhaps I would have changed things,
if I’d had the choice;
instead I hear my youth pass
in that strong sweet voice.
Great track. Always loved their music
I think it’s brilliant. Those girls are in their 70s and they are still hitting the notes.
Indeed they can

Beautiful, Jane! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy a wonderful Sunday! xx Michael
Thank you 🙂 It’s very hot, sunny and still. I’ll miss it when it’s over xx
I am sure i will miss it as well. Cant we extend the summer, as long as the Covid restrictions will last? 😉
A long Indian summer would be lovely, but I’m afraid it’s going to be this unstable kind of weather right into the winter.
I think so too, Jane! ;-( Lets make the best out of the actual situation. xx Michael
Yes!
:-)) Enjoy the rest of the Sunday, Jane! Have a beautiful start of the new week! xx Michael
Thank you! You too 🙂
Your last two lines really nailed it. Beautiful, Jane.
I’ve never been an ABBA fan–though you can’t help but like their songs–but this touched me.
Thank you 🙂 It’s all about nostalgia, the past being gone, but we can still remember how it was. I think the song has that feeling.
Yes, it does. 😀
🙂
You poem complemens the the video perfectly. I am delighted that Abba have made a come back though their music is ever present.
Their music is timeless, and it seems as though they are too!
