Wind and water

When there is only sky
and waving tree line
and tall grass a silent crowd

when there is no sound
but the complaint of leaves in the wind
a lone nightingale in the hedge
and the swollen stream
shouting from its bed

when the world is wind and water
we hold our breath
beneath the shoaling clouds
whale-black jostling
and wait for the deluge.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. That’s the stupid thing about selfhosting! But this Jetpack plugin from WP.com sends to the US, and the Germans don’t seem to like the US. Not just because of Trump. Lol
