Yes, it was exactly that! The ‘swallow’ that detached itself from the group by flying low in a dead straight line.
I can see it.
I can’t get over how many different species I see. I’d have thought this place was paradise when I was a child.

At first reading, I accidentally read it as ‘swallows poop’ – and then I thought, no that can’t be right – that’s not Jane’s style… upon rereading it, I was glad to see that I was right 🙂
