A couple of words that are evocative enough to have inspired a few quick-fire haiku. For the other entries, please visit Ronovan’s Blog.
Waking light covers
golden landscapes, birds stirring,
colour of morning.
Cover the night stars
follow the sun’s path westward
scatter day’s colours.
Waves cover the strand
foam-fringed translucent dancers
sun-coloured magic.
I can sense the salty air, feel the light breeze, hear the surf’s roar and the gulls’ cry… just great!
Now that IS a compliment, coming from a sea dog like yourself 🙂
Yurf, yurf 😉
Wow! All of your words have blown me away. That last one is superb! ❤
Thank you! The last one’s my favourite too 🙂
Well done, Jane. Your imagery is amazing. ❤
Thank you so much! I’m pleased you enjoyed the poems.
There is a rhythm in these haiku that rocks me and rolls me along – the last one takes flight – superb!
Thank you! The first two must have been trial runs 🙂
Beautiful haiku, such great rhythm and flow of words.
Thanks Vashti. My kind of prompt 🙂
Wow! I really like these:) Love that photo too.
Thank you! The photo is in fact a painting. If you click on it you get the painter’s name—pretty realistic isn’t it?
Wow! It certainly is. Awesome work by that artist. .I was just looking him up. Quite the landscape artist wasn’t he. He clearly loved the ocean. Thanks for the intro.:)
I’d call it: tranquility.
And I’d agree with you 🙂
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
What a lovely photo and I enjoyed those haiku too 🙂
Thank you 🙂
