Haiku challenge: Hope & Crystal

Two haiku for Ronovan’s weekly challenge, dedicated to a lost friend.

New star in the sky

cats’ eyes shining bright with hope

in a better world.

Hope springs eternal

in the crystal stream running

deep ocean rolling.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Many will watch out for the new star quite well. It will be a new guide. Definitely not alone in the spaciousness of our uncertainties and the unknown. It is known only to those in the know. A different place to be. I am wishing it is a playful, serene and spacious. Divine poem number one.

A great deal of soaring activity in your second poem. A brightening time will be heading toward the center of the activity. Spirits will be lifted when ready. :*)

    1. Thanks you. I’m glad you liked these two haiku. Not many people know this, but that first star in the NT, they were referring to a phenomenon that occurred half a century earlier—it was predicting the birth of David Bowie in two thousand years time 🙂
