When purple
after blue
and red
fading deep
night
and shadows merge
a deer
and the tableau lives
a moment suspended
dusk dawn daynight
distillation of hues
to make flesh
red leaves
fall and drift.

Philosophy is all about being curious, asking basic questions. And it can be fun!
Wow, so beautiful Jane!
There was something magical about this morning. It was damp, the dawn was brilliant pink and grey cloud, and there was a deer family beneath the trees. No hunters about for once too.
That is magical…I used to watch the deer come and eat grapes from my Grandfather’s arbor. In the city now…no deer.
😦
I love to see them. I don’t know how anyone can bring himself to shoot them.
I don’t understand hunters for sport. How can they be so heartless?
It’s frightening. To take a gun and kill for fun is barbaric, the kind of mentality we’re supposed to have left behind in the dark ages.
Unfortunately it seems to be inbred.
Nastiness reproduces itself.
Unfortunately so!
😦
The photograph is awesome.
The skies here are incredible sometimes!
They look to be. 🙂
🙂
Jane, this is so beautiful and flowing. Nature has that power to overwhelm us 🙂
Thank you, Sunita. When there is so much sky it’s impossible not to feel it as a living thing.
Exactly!
🙂
Sunset is always time suspended. And purple is just the right hue for it. (K)
It’s one of the sky’s favourite colours.
