no stars
to guide the storm
black water floods
black earth
indifferently
sky swollen with rain
lowers
instead of stars
raindrops
streak the darkness
after weeks and weeks
of drought
rain falls and falls
and when it stops
the earthโs bones are still dry
trees hiss
in the oceanโs wind
tossing spray of golden leaves
the night meadow
glistens
night falls
full of cloud
will the owls
sing me to sleep
beneath this restless sky?

Meets somehow my acutal mood. Love it! Michael
We had our first rain! It didn’t even seem to wet the grass, but it’s a start!

You should move before you murder someone!
A very good advice. Lets hope i will get all my things back.

Evocative and intense! And Equinox themed… How would you like to share it for the challenge? ๐
Thank you, Frank! I’ll add it to the linky if you think it’s acceptable ๐
Feel free! ๐

Thanks Pat. I got worked up for the rain to finally come and it didn’t. A shower after all the build up!
That been going on here too. It feels really weird having to water the garden with heavily gray clouds overhead.

It’s just warm and sunny here now, but even so the plants in the pots need watering. As you say, weird
